How CPR CAN Save a Life?

Respected All,

If you are trained to do CPR then there is no doubt in it that you can do something, obviously CPR, to save lives. In our today’s post we will see what steps we do perform to complete exercise which is called CPR. What does it mean? and How it is performed on an infant, children and young adult.

CPR is abbreviation of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation. CPR is also known as artificial/external chest compression. CPR is performed when heart stops pumping blood caused by severe medical problems.

First Aid to Save a Life (FATSAL) Pakistan is unfortunate and can’t present any sort of proven data/record to show fatalities caused by heart from Pakistan. We have interviewed many doctors (who voluntarily answered our questions) to help us understand their reporting system after declaring any expiry in their hospital and discussed deficiencies in reporting and collection system. But we can quote here the statistics mentioned by Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) Lahore representatives who said that Sudden Cardiac Arrest causes more than 140,000 deaths every year in Pakistan.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) causes the heart’s normal rhythm to suddenly become chaotic. The heart can no longer pump the blood effectively and the victim collapses, stops breathing, becomes unresponsive, and has no detectable pulse. SCA can strike anyone, anytime & anywhere and take a precious life away.

Let me tell you in steps about CPR, sudden cardiac arrest and how First Aid to Save a Life Pakistan can help you to fight this and save lives.

If performed as early as heart problem suspected, CPR can save a life  for you. We should look for clues to identify SCA and/or signs to get ourselves ready for help and to approach to ask questions to clear doubt or re is any problem and should be aware of our colleagues and neighbors

We all are interested to know what to do next to save live. It will only take our 10 to 20 minutes workout and wisely initiating emergency management services (EMS), like 1122 or other known services in each area to deal with medical emergencies, to do the rest for us.

if you found someone unconscious? If YES, then you are a GREAT PERSON, A HERO, and I have no words to praise you. AND if you don’t know how to save a unconscious patient’s life then learn it today and BE A HERO.

Each year we commemorate World Heart Day and some nations also celebrate February as their own National Heart Week/Campaigns.

In light of the facts, do you still have hope? Why or why not?

Faisal Javed Mir & First Aid to Save a Life Pakistan

We like YOU and YOU TOO LIKE US.

Respected All,

After every training session we had a lot to cherish and some interesting suggestions. At First Aid to Save a Life (FATSAL) Pakistan we ask individual participants to write up openly and honestly to tell us what went right and met their expectations and/or what went wrong. This is fact that we give due respect to our every participant, new comers and/or participants coming for refresher, and thankful to all who LIKED US.

We cherished every moment during and after the training session but today we are glad to share some of the facts with YOU and our online viewers. We would like to thank everyone who completed our feedback form. This is significant – without getting into a lot of statistics let me just say that by having so many responses, we can be confident that we will not shatter this trust and compromise on quality of education.

I wasn’t kidding when I said you really like us. For questions about the quality of our customer service and training materials, 80 – 90% of the respondents gave us a “Very Good” or “Excellent” rating. Many other categories received scores of at least 75% for those same ratings.  And while we love to see great ratings, it was equally reassuring to see that there were no categories with a significant number of ratings of “Unacceptable” or just “Adequate.” You also shared a lot of thoughts and ideas in the comments sections of the feedback form and we are already looking into how we can incorporate some of them into upcoming initiatives.

We came to know that you like us and you said you would recommend us to friends, colleagues, peers and professionals. We would love to give you the opportunity to do just that and, at the same time, show you our thanks for that referral. Please feel free to use the comments section to share your ideas.

Thank you for your continuing support!

To Your Safety, Prosperity & Growth,
Faisal Javed Mir & First Aid to Save a Life Pakistan

Have Hope – Know the best to Save Lives

Respected All,

Each year we commemorate World Heart Day and some nations also celebrate February as their own National Heart Week/Campaigns.

Heart diseases are increasing day by day and we have all been touched by this disease in one way or another. After all, it is the leading cause of death in Pakistan, killing approximately over half a million Pakistanis every year. It is also the number one cause of death globally and the #1 killer of women. To make women more aware of the danger, our National Institutes and other organizations are also sponsoring an awareness campaign remaining within their resources. It urges women of all ages to know their risk for heart disease.

But the recent medicine scandal of Punjab Institute of Cardiology filled thousands and millions with consternation over the control of managing heart diseases. Fatality from heart diseases have been the number one cause of death in even most developed nations and have century long statistics and what have been said above is just the claim of independent professionals. Each year in Pakistan, approximately 300,000 people experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. More than 90% of them die. Early CPR and early defibrillation are essential to survival, but only a third of bystanders who witness cardiac arrest perform CPR and only 1% are treated by bystanders with an AED before EMS arrival.

It seems that efforts has failed to make substantial progress in the fight against cardiovascular disease and sudden death. This is the time to join hands, curb scandals and take responsibility to make significant changes/improvements.

Hope can be defined as “Grounds for believing that something good may happen.”

In light of the facts, do you still have hope? Why or why not?

To Our Safety, Prosperity & Growth,
Faisal Javed Mir & First Aid to Save a Life Pakistan
