Grapes, Minors, Choking and First Aid.
It’s a well known fact that whole grapes are a dangerous choking hazard for babies, toddlers and young children!
The size and shape of grapes means that they can completely plug a child’s airway. The tight seal produced by the grape’s smooth surface makes them difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

Young children are particularly vulnerable to choking on a grape because:
• They don’t have a full set of teeth and are still learning to chew properly.
• Their swallow reflex is still developing.
• Their airway is very small.
Precaution: Slice in half lengthways and ideally into quarters. NEVER in half widthways!
This handy image shows just how to slice them so that they are safe to eat – slice in half lengthways and ideally into quarters. NEVER in half widthways!

It’s always better to be safe than sorry!

Our knowledge is our power. Learning the F.A.S.T. warning signs of stroke – face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty, time to call EMS/Lifecare (1122 in Punjab, Balochistan & KP, others for Sindh) – can mean the difference between life and death and recovery or disability.

Protect the ones you love. Spread the word about F.A.S.T (BE-FAST) to aware others around you to save people’s lives.

Parents aren’t the only ones who should learn and practice lifesaving skills. Most school-aged children can and should learn basic first aid and CPR. When an accident occurs, they’ll be better prepared to help a sibling, parent, or grandparent.
Our courses include hands-on practice and follow the same procedures medical professionals use to identify injuries or ailments. Our instructor will also teach your family how to manage injuries when a first aid kit isn’t available. For example, a t-shirt can be used to manage bleeding, and a magazine can be used to splint a fracture.
Family time is important, but it can be a challenge to find an activity that’s engaging for everyone. Learning how to help each other in an emergency can be a great way for families to bond and gain valuable skills. So we are offering courses separately at your location to fit your family’s schedule.
