First Aid to Save a Life is proud to offer hands-on skills session to teach lifesaving skills to save lives. Our Basic Life Support (BLS) Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, provide early use of an AED and clear foreign body obstruction (choking) from the airway.

FATSAL is pleased to announce Basic Life Support to raise awareness about cardiac emergencies and train people in CPR, anti-choking skills and safe use of an AED to build more resilient communities. Our objective is to train community lifesavers to get trained and Save Lives.

In our hands-on approach, students participate in scenarios and learning stations.

Features
• Reflects science and education from the 2019 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC .
• Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.
• Emphasis on high-quality CPR including a team dynamics classroom activity.
• Video-based course with real world scenarios.

Course Content
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Chain of Survival
• Use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children and infants.

We have limited seats to maintain the quality of training so don’t wait for last day. The fee includes refreshment, quick card and certification.

These workshops are open for ages 15 & over. Pre registration is must. The participants would be limited and the best equipment to student ratio to be maintained to ensure quality learning.

These workshops are must do for all. These are great for parents as 82% of parents would not know what to do if their children choked, burned themselves or collapsed. More than 70% of cardiac emergencies occur at home. Its high time to get trained, become a lifesaver and save lives.

Academy of General Dentistry CDE Hours

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) was created to assist members of the AGD and the dental profession in identifying and participating in quality continuing dental education (CDE). HSI (parent company of MEDIC First Aid USA and American Safety and Health Institute) is a nationally approved AGD PACE-approved CDE provider. As such, HSI and its Approved Training Centers (TCs) and Instructors are permitted to award CDE hours to dental professionals.

Nationally Approved From 9/1/2018 – 8/31/2022

When an HSI approved Training Center (TC) and authorized instructor teaches an HSI training program to dental professionals, they may award CDE. This is because AGD considers HSI, the TC and the instructor to be “joint program providers”.

The following courses are currently approved for CDE:

Becoming a member of AGD and your local constituent is one of the most beneficial decisions you can make as a dental professional for enriching your career and enhancing the profession. Your participation makes AGD an invaluable organization for general dentists and students.

First Aid to Save a Life provides on site training and certification. We offer private classes at your location or ours. Our instructors use an educational approach featuring structured lecture and discussion with plenty of hands-on skill practice in a team setting in order to build the knowledge, skills, confidence and competence to effectively manage a life-threatening medical emergency.

Four- and one-half hours of Continuing Dental Education hours (AGD Subject Code: 142 Medical emergency training and CPR) are awarded by FATSAL, a joint program provider with the Health & Safety Institute (HSI), a nationally approved Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) Program Provider. Upon successful completion of the class, participants receive a 2- year certification.

This training program is designed specifically for the layman to learn first aid care which exceeds local and industry requirements. This course is based on the current guidelines for CPR and First Aid.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to understand and perform:

  • Role of the first aid care provider
  • Care for conscious and unconscious choking victims – practical of anti-choking practices
  • Perform CPR – hands-on session
  • Recovery position – practical exercise
  • Use of AED – practical by participants
  • Give first aid for a variety of injuries, such as burn, fracture, eye injury, bleeding control, head, neck & back injuries, and heat & cold-related emergencies. There are variety of scenarios for hands-on practice.
  • Manage sudden illnesses, heart attack, stroke, seizure, bites, poisoning, diabetics and many other topics.

This course will help students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to manage a medical emergency using CPR and first aid until more advanced help is available.
