According to the CDC, traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 years of age (in the U.S). A large portion of those deaths are from severe bleeding – the most treatable cause of death due to trauma. Up to 20% of trauma deaths could be prevented with effective bleeding control technique’s application.
The new Advanced Bleeding Control training program is designed to provide detailed instruction on the control of severe external bleeding, including the use of direct pressure, commercial pressure bandages, tourniquets and packed dressings.
The programs are ideal for those who have a greater than average chance of witnessing an injury event in which severe bleeding occurs and professional medical care is not readily available or is overwhelmed, such as law enforcement, private security, workplace emergency response team personnel and staff at large events, campuses or large occupied buildings.
“Don’t bleed on roads but donate blood.”
