CoronaVirus Definition and Symptomology

CoronaVirus (COVID-19) are a large family of viruses that cause a wide range of illness from the common cold to more severe diseases like MERS and SARS.

Notes:

1- Transmission can occur from asymptomatic individuals or during the incubation period to others.

2- First declared as Epidemic and then Pandemic by WHO.

3- Transmission is confirmed from animal-to-human and human-to-human. The human-to-animal (2 cases in Hong Kong) are reported and under detailed investigation.

4- No vaccination available. Few medicines are recognized for symptomatic treatment.

5- This is confirmed as Pandemic which started from China then other major outbreak recorded in Iran and Italy.
